Music Box Invites Survey finds that Central Florida brides LOVE purple!
When Music Box Invites participated in their first wedding show, they asked interested brides-to-be about their wedding color choices in order to develop some swatch samples. But when owners Joann Marks and Nancy Faulk started to analyze the results, they were surprised to find the answers very different from what the wedding magazines and blogs were saying. “We keep hearing that Emerald Green and Coral (not necessarily together) are the top new wedding colors”, said Marks “But that’s definitely not what the brides were telling us!” Out of more than 80 responses, here are the color rankings:
- Purple – 15 responses
- Pink – 10 responses
- Blue – 9 responses
- Teal/Aqua – 9 responses
- Red – 8 responses
- Peacock (purple, blue, green)- 8 responses
- Coral – 5 responses
- Green – 3 responses
- Black – 3 responses
- Other – 11 responses
The “other” colors getting two or less votes included silver, gold, brown, white, and yellow. Blue seemed to always be paired with another color (e.g., Blue and Coral or Navy and Yellow). Aqua was teamed a lot with Coral – but of course that could be because of all the beach weddings in Florida.
Another huge wedding trend for 2013 will likely be musical invitations, now that Kim Kardashian had musical invites sent to her Baby Shower guests. Her sisters sent out invitations in an old-fashioned music box that when opened played Kanye’s “Hey Mama” and put into motion a twirling toy ballerina. You can be sure other celebrities will now want over-the-top invitations for their important events, too
Music Box Invites offers a line of Custom Couture wedding invitations where each bride can work with the Music Box team to create a totally customized invitation package incorporating music or other sound bites.
